Pull up a velvet chair, dear reader, for I bring news from Paris. After nearly twenty years, Paris Living Rooms is returning to us—freshly re-released and every bit as enchanting as when Dominique Nabokov first unveiled it in 2002. This is the second jewel in her holy trinity of interior “portraits,” following the revival of New York Living Rooms earlier this year.

Armed with her trusty Polaroid, Dominique slipped into the homes of Paris’s early-2000s luminaries—Yves Saint Laurent, Nan Goldin, Gérard Depardieu, Carine Roitfeld, Yvon Lambert, Andrée Putman, and many more—capturing their rooms exactly as she found them. Nothing styled, nothing fussed. Just pure, elegant voyeurism.

Long out of print, this edition restores a whole era of Parisian life, complete with Andrée Putman’s original introduction. And yes, the trilogy will soon conclude with Berlin Living Rooms, making the set a perfect little passport to three great cities.
