“This is a blueprint, you could say, for how to live a good life, eat well, and be happy.”

Atelier September: A Place for Daytime Cooking is the very first cookbook from Copenhagen’s beloved gem, offering a golden key into the kitchen of Frederik Bille Brahe himself. Inside: 86 mostly vegetarian recipes for breakfasts, lunches, sweets, and those unmistakable A.S. signatures—yes, including the famed Avocado mad. All are bright with fresh, seasonal ingredients and Frederik’s wonderfully unfussy spirit.

Expect airy, financier-like pancakes, soups and salads that feel like postcards from the seasons, and desserts kissed with matcha. Woven between the dishes are Frederik’s tender reflections—glimpses of Atelier September’s early days, inspirations, and the quiet magic that shaped one of Copenhagen’s most cherished restaurants.

Edited by Jeni Porter with photographs by Rasmus Weng Karlsen, this book feels like coming home—to familiar flavours, beautiful objects, and the dear friends who always seem to gather around your table.
